Echoes of the Timeless Wind
A Surreal Music Film Set in the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Filmed in the remarkable Louvre Abu Dhabi, this music film blends visual elegance with surreal storytelling and unexpected narrative twists. Created by Marek-Lars Kruusen in collaboration with Ryx Kael, the project combines artistic imagery, symbolic elements, and a cinematic structure that evolves into a dark, almost horror-like conclusion.
The film opens with a calm introduction showcasing the architectural beauty of the Louvre museum. This peaceful beginning transitions into a scene where a woman and a man enter the space and approach a large painting. At first, the moment feels ordinary, but the narrative quickly shifts into something more surreal. After drinking Coca-Cola, the characters within the painting come to life, suggesting a strange connection between the real world and the artwork.
As the story unfolds, the painting begins to emit a powerful light that draws the couple into it—not physically, but mentally. This transition marks a turning point in the film. The atmosphere becomes darker and more intense, culminating in a dramatic transformation: the woman turns into a demonic figure and ultimately destroys the man through fire. After this act, the demon disappears back into the painting, closing the narrative loop.
Throughout the film, a glowing sphere of light moves through the museum, acting as a subtle, recurring visual motif. The result is a layered piece that merges beauty, music, surrealism, and horror, while also incorporating elements of commercial imagery. It is a striking example of how music films can function as both artistic expression and narrative experimentation.
In the film, Coca-Cola serves as a symbolic representation of unhealthy consumption and the hidden dangers that can exist behind attractive appearances. The woman’s transformation into a demon after drinking the beverage is not meant to be taken literally, but rather as a metaphor for the destructive consequences that unhealthy habits and excessive consumerism can have on individuals and society. The museum, with its beauty, elegance, and visual grandeur, represents the seductive power of image and presentation, much like major commercial brands that project happiness, success, and desirability. Beneath that polished surface, however, there may be consequences that are less visible. The demon’s eventual killing of her husband symbolizes how destructive influences can ultimately damage the people and relationships closest to us. The film uses fantasy and symbolism to explore the contrast between external beauty and hidden risks, encouraging viewers to think critically about the choices and influences that shape modern life.
