EXODUS

A young man volunteers to participate in a drug experiment. Believing it's a new drug to get high off of, he discovers it's true purpose blows the mind on a whole new level. He soon must make a choice that many would both want to have, and fear for that same choice to make.

* A no budget guerrilla style shot film. Shooting took place on location in a single obscure city in China while navigating China's covid zero-tolerance policy, equipment failure with supply chain problems, lockdowns, protests, and covid infections. Director Biography - Joey 西侧龙

Joey is a filmmaker that puts the passion and his imagination into his work. With a hands on approach to everything from shooting, scouting locations, writing, producing, editing, directing, etc. circumstances make him the guerrilla filmmaker.

Every time He gets behind the camera he takes the chance to up the level on all his skills. Without wealthy connections and really no connections to help, he goes solo on bringing life to his projects.

Each project when he gets behind the camera he tries
to make into a different animal in style. Each project he upgrades the equipment and puts in more money to make. Imagine what he could do with a budget.

Despite making several video projects in the past including a music video and student film, in 2023 he submitted 2 projects he felt were worthy for film festival submissions. A short film/music video called, A Beautiful Escape, and his debut feature film, EXODUS.

A Beautiful Escape has been selected in multiple festivals and won a couple of awards. Exodus has been selected in a couple of festivals and currently has won an award. This has provided an opportunity for Joey to promote his creation and expansion of Outrun Synth Productions.

His purpose for Outrun Synth Productions is to take any story and fuse them into a deep dive of multiple genres. Scifi, horror, fantasy, or combo of some and/or all. But the other main purpose is to give those something that he was never given until he made it himself. Opportunity. Those who are just looking for the opportunity and experience to add to their resume and portfolios, Outrun Synth Productions answers the call.

I was never given the chance to succeed or fail. So I had to invest in myself. It's not about fortune and glory, it's about the passion. Because I have stories to tell with a warped imagination.
