EKO MIAMI

Eko Miami is the story of a guy who leaves the UK after 8 years of failing to succeed, and returns (Japa-da) to Nigeria to pursue his dream in the entertainment sector owing to the trending Afrobeats scene.

His plan was to organise a series of huge concerts in Lagos, but after considerable investments in the first one, it births chaos after chaos.

Set on the onset of the Covid-19 outbreak which throws the first curveball and puts a target on his back from a loan shark who invested in this dream, including concert goers who bought tickets and everyone he loaned money from.

As his debts continue to pile up, a new hitmaking sensation is about to take his girl - everything just seems to be going wrong.

The film also deals with the complexities of identity in the age of social media where everyone is really not who they say they are. Whilst he had lied about his past to fit in, his friends also have their own secrets and misconceptions.
