I’m drawn to narratives that reveal resilience, hope, and transformation — whether I’m shaping them behind a camera, in a manuscript, or producing for screen and audio. I thrive where creative freedom meets purposeful collaboration, and I value authenticity over pretense every time.
An award-winning author and filmmaker, I have published six non-fiction books. The first in my Bridge trilogy became the basis for my short film Say My Name (2023), which went on to win 95 international film awards. My creative work draws deeply from lived experience, frontline trauma work, and research — crafting stories that illuminate both the human cost of hardship and the extraordinary capacity for recovery.
My portfolio spans:
- Film & Screen: Creator, producer and co-writer of Say My Name; associate producer, still photographer and cast for The Healing documentary; currently developing two doco-series about resilience.
- Books & Writing: Six published works, each offering hope and practical insights through the lens of lived experience. Book two of my Bridge trilogy, Building the Bridge was released in January 2026 and was given a 5-star review from Readers' Favorite (US).
- Podcasts & Audio: Creator of three podcast series exploring stories of resilience, leadership, and wellbeing. The latest podcast: Living Reflections.
Say My Name is based on my book, Sleeping Under the Bridge. In collaboration with Rhoyce Nova (co-writer/director), Zachary Peel-McGregor (DOP), and Quinn (lead actress/composer), we brought my younger life story to screen - a journey through childhood abuse, survival, systemic adversity, transformed into a message of strength and possibility.
