Doors Of Acid Dream Perception "Chromatika"
Seeing is believing as daydreaming through a mirror of abstractions cascades our mental state into an arbitrary reflection of mesmerizing cathode-ray tube portals channeling into a new dimension of psychedelia. Where our imagination is left floating on the blinding edge of an x-ray of the sun. Beaming our souls onto a path of new understanding to synthesize freedom. Where we experience the daydream reality of magical happenings as they unravel from our hypothesis of poetic dream experiments developing while we wander freely through the lyrical distortion of reality.
From a vision of awkward beauty found in a prophetic kind of harmony, where a moving painting unveils itself from an escalation of spontaneous, colliding rainbows saturated in a metric algorithm of Kaos. As the metaphorical illusion of vivid and mysterious are surroundings that allow our consciousness to seep freely, deeply, and profoundly into an acid daydream metamorphosis of a computerized acid paradise, here a visionary fiction warps our mind expansion of psychedelic evolution, depicting our acid essence of spirituality as it lingers in the blurring presence of moment to moment re-discovery.
A viewing experience where we can lose track of time within our mind-boggling cycle of self-awakening thought entanglement. From a collection and conjunction of visual poetry translation devoted to the art form exploration of moving imagery experimental art film transformations.
As we indulge in the eye candy experience of partaking in the visual temptation of a sinful spectrum. We escape to a limitless world of liberation, creativity, and fun investigation that allows us the esoteric spiritual innocence and pure mentality left, as we continue to learn how to dream as free as we can dream to be free-willed. Where we can unleash our own perception of the trippy importance of our dream's freedom of existence.

Birthday Gurl likes to imagine what the world would be like without predictability and without perfect order so that her creativity can pour out the poetic beauty from a vision of cathode ray tube portals channeling into colors from a fairy tale universe in the story's absence.
Laura Grace Robles is Birthday Gurl, a video poet and artist from Texas, who is inspired by the psychedelic hidden world of dreaming and its appropriation to a visual language of concepts in translation and transformation into experimental video art film, in conjunction with spoken word, and freedom of abstract expressionism film volta.
Robles started out as a theater camp drop out who began writing short scripts for her high school theater arts club for holiday shows. Eventually, when she started studying art at the University of Texas at San Antonio with Leslie Raymond, she realized she wanted to create a type of visual poetry as a professional video artist who used spoken word to combine with exhibited video installation and musical performance for galleries and museums.
In 2019 and 2020 Robles was asked to display her experimental acid dream-pop video art visual moving poetry using single-channel projection to showcase alongside a spoken word performance by herself playing theremin with Thomas Lahomme at Texpop, The South Texas Museum Of Pop Culture in San Antonio, Texas. As well as showcasing at the Luminaria Arts Festival in San Antonio, Texas with large scale outdoor projection on the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in downtown Hemisphere Park. As well as showcasing her Anti-Art Art films, stills while accompanied by the music her band Anti-Beauty at Presa House Gallery.
When she emerged as Birthday Gurl Video Artist she showcased her work for well known artists and national acts at live musical performances for Rakim the 80’s hip hop legend, Gordon Raphael the producer of The Strokes and Grammy award winner, Marcel Rodriguez Lopez of The Mars Volta. Birthday Gurl also showcased during the opening acts for The Octopus Project, Com Truise and Machinedrum. The artist’s experimental video art poems and films have been featured in the Straight Jacket Guerrilla Film Festival from 2018-2020, as well as selected by The Art Film Awards and the Indie Wise Film Festival as a finalist.
Birthday Gurl starred in two foreign films, one titled Pregnant, directed by Fabrizio Federico, a film about the world’s addiction to technology. The other was a film titled Mondo Lizard A Guide To Gonzo Cinema, a film about risk-taking pioneer filmmakers who paved their way through the punk cinema movement.
In my time of isolation during this pandemic, I have found it inspiring to analyze my dreams with a psychedelic or “acid” perception of its force. Like an investigation of daydream reality within the metamorphosis of developing and transforming unconventional cinematic experiments. I use my Acid Pop Film Manifesto, in order to translate poetry into a moving painting of artistic beauty. So I can escape the everyday troubles with a new outlook on creativity where I can color the poetry book of dreams outside the lines, the way I did once when I was a child.
I like to feel lost without a story, finding my way into another dimension of dream reality created by spellbound repetition and obscure reoccurrences. This way I can funnel my creativity into an imaginary cathode ray tube portal of surprising hidden romance from unknown dream worlds. I believe in a future dream that exists in a world of mystery and its spontaneity of lost stories are told by the dreamer, existing in a continuum of timeless rapture.
I must try to forget everything I know as though it were a medium that is the psychedelic spiritual essence encapsulating my mind and body.
I the dreamer have created a vision of spontaneous escape from a collection and conjunction of composed film volta of abstract film expressionism. By exploring a saturated rhythm through my looking glass of encapsulated acid dream depictions, I transform moving imagery into a metaphorical illusion that leads a non- fictional reality of dreaming to the open doors of acid dream visionary fiction. Where within an expansion of the human mind drives the plot that speaks through a mirror of abstractions.
Like a moving painting having a vivid spiritual essence, my acid dream perception connects deeper symbolically and mythopoetically on the experimental acid pop filmmaking level of anti-art art film aesthetics.
I cast a spell upon my viewers with a gazing curse of hypnotic euphoria in the ecstasy of a wondering mind. Upon the witnessing of a computerized acid dream, which I have concocted down the black magic acid rabbit hole of Chromatika.
As I am witnessing myself as the dreamer whose dream is to timelessly travel freely on a bountiful psychedelic journey of mind expansion, and self-actualization. I try to understand the missing pieces to the untold story without characterization.
Where we can experience the wisdom from within ourselves. Chromatka emphasizes the future acid daydreaming and envisions humanity’s transition into evolved consciousness.
