Donald Tongue (Dramatist / Producer / Director) is the founder of Tongue Mountain Productions (2004) and its subsidiary, New World Theatre (2015). While primarily a playwright and theatre producer, he has also written and produced the thirteen-episode web series Candid Candidate, and the three-episode audio play series Snow Fall. Donald has four published plays to his credit. His most produced work, Void, has been produced in Boston and Los Angeles. School Portrait Monologues had its premiere production in New Zealand. Fishbowl was part of the 2010 short play festival in New York City at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, where it was held for an extended run. My Neighbor, the Poet, a play about Robert Frost, was commissioned and produced by theatre KAPOW in 2010. Scene Changes was produced at the Firehouse Center for the Arts 2012 New Works Festival, at the Leddy Center for their 2015 Showcase Production series, and most recently at the Hatbox Theatre in 2023. It was also selected for the 2020 Rave Theatre Festival in NYC. Candid Candidate was produced at the Leddy Center for their 2016 Showcase Production series and at the Hatbox Theatre. The Truth Will Spring Yuh was produced at the 2014 NHCTA Theatre Festival and received its premiere in April 2017 at the Hatbox Theatre. Donald is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
