Director Biography - Max Reinert

Max Reinert has a self-taught training in the theatrical area and has been a member of Téspis Cia. de Teatro since its foundation in 1993, having performed other professional works before that date.

In his career as an actor and director, he has participated in more than 30 works and participated in several festivals in Brazil and abroad, having taken his shows to Portugal, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Venezuela, where he received several nominations and awards.

Currently, he has dedicated himself to cinema, where he worked as an actor (Pela Boca – TAC Filmes, direction Diego Lara, Swiss Somnambulism and Nego Dean – independent production, direction Lallo Bocchino), the work of casting preparation (Três Dentes de Ouro and Austero – both from TAC Filmes, directed by Diego Lara), casting director (Austero – TAC Filmes, directed by Diego Lara) and art director (Nego Dean and Rito Sumário – both independent productions, directed by Lallo Bocchino).

During the pandemic, he directed adaptations of theatrical works for the audiovisual language, trying to find a hybrid language that creates dialogues between the different thoughts in these areas. Within this language, he directed "Os Sonhos Teus Vão acabar contigo", "Pqueno Inventáriod e Impropriedades" and "Vozes Vivas - histories of São João Maria". "PaPeLê - a paper adventure" is his first production designed in this format for children.

"Dog Killer" is his debut as a fiction director.
