Experiencing Interruptions?

Distance

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, 3 fearful families are united by a small act of hope.

This film speaks to the direct fears caused by the Viral Pandemic of 2020. It responds to the pandemic but also another threat, an Epidemic of Fear. It shows how an act of hope can spread, become contagious, and ultimately save us from ourselves.

It reminds us: There is hope. There is love. And even if at a distance, we have each other.

Director Statement

Several weeks ago as the coronavirus began to grip the US with fear, in first responder fashion, our production studio got to work and we have produced a 15 minute short film addressing the issues that many are facing right now.

Distance takes place in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when 3 fearful families are united by a small act of hope.

I wanted to make this film because in addition to the viral pandemic, we are now faced with an epidemic of fear. More people than ever right now are alone, scared, anxious, and consumed in fear. We need hope. We need storytelling that will remind people that even in the darkest hour, we can and will get through this, together. There is hope. There is love. And even if at a distance, we have each other.

This motion picture was written, produced & filmed within a short window during March 2020. The filming operated within complete compliance of the State of Tennessee, US Federal Government mandates and CDC recommendations around COVID-19 best practices. Production followed volunteer, micro limited crew & cast footprint, social distancing and strict clean set protocols. The filmmaker's acknowledge the threat posed by the spread of COVID-19 is real, alarming and should be taken very seriously. Strict precautions were thoroughly evaluated and enforced to ensure a safe set.

We hope you are healthy and safe and that our film can bring you and anyone who watches it some hope during this time.
