Dinky

A story about a black girls mental escape from her dreadful state of mind to a magical Kingdom, where her peace now exists. Due to a mental breakdown and the inability to handle her abandonment issues, she clings to a magical kingdom and the only entity that believes in her.

She takes a journey through a trap door in the floor of her grandparents house and explores a kingdom that accepts her as the person she is. Dinky provides the love and acceptance she misses in her life.

Living with her grandparents and siblings due to her parents personal life struggles which has caused them not to be active in her life; she's mistaken for a nut case, but she knows Dinky is real.

She has a younger sister who has never seen Dinky but believes her stories, however she is attacked because she has rehashed that story. After a mental breakdown, she was ask to never speak about Dinky...but the trap door is calling her. She is getting older and life as a teen-ager bring on issues that only Dinky and that trap door can help her with.

Defiant against her grandparents and therapist...she has to get the help only Dinky Magical Kingdom can give.

Writer Biography - Jeanette Greenwood

Jeanette Greenwood, native of Fort Worth ,TX, CEO, storyteller, poet, filmmaker, writer and director. Jeanette started telling stories and writing them down at the age of 5. She always had a vivid imagination and loved entertaining.

She participated in performing arts throughout her years in school and college. It was in college when her instructor compared her poetry to that of Maya Angelou when she realized that she had an unique gift in writing.

Growing up in the 70's & 80's; it wasn't many people that looked like her that worked behind the scenes in the industry, so she took other career paths that her high school mentors felt made sense to them.

After obtaining three degrees that had nothing to do with her true passion, she decided to cycle back and do what she loved...STORYTELLING & FILM.

She rebranded her 11-year old NPO, in 2020 to Ladies in Film & Television and opened JG STUDIOS COMPANY full time to her clients. Jeanette is an Award Winning Writer, Director & Producer who is taking the indie industry by storm with her talent.
