দিগন্তের মাঠের পথে উন্মাদ চাঁদ

One morning, Rudra wakes up to hear about his father's illness. He must go to see his ailing father, but he does not feel the urge for the family relationship from which he has been isolating himself for many years. At the beginning of the film, we see Rudra telling his girlfriend about his father on the phone; the girlfriend is excited to know this, and Rudra scolds her when she wanted to come to the station.

The film then travels to Rudra's memory, his childhood, his father's dream. He dreams that little Rudra is drowning in the water of the pond, then his feet hit his father's feet. I can also see from the memory his father waking up after a nightmare, sitting in the back while his grandfather is snoring. Before coming to Dhaka to study, his father took him out for a walk, talking about his goals, expressing his doubts and frustrations, and giving advice on how to make life decisions.

But Rudra remembers something else, in the film Rudra's memory travels back to the time when Rama came to the atheist sage Jabali in the ancient times, Jabali advised him - rather to follow what comes in his own experience.

The film then returns to the present. Rudra comes to his friend's house to borrow money. When he goes there, he finds his lover sitting at his friend's house despite many prohibitions. As usual, she tries to console Rudra in various ways. Rudra's distracted mind, unaffected by the caring concerns of his lover, instead seeks a form of personal identity. Discussion with the friend brings up the topic of reality and personal freedom.

Rudra's mind then has gathered Kalidasa, Omar Khayyam, Sarahapa, Ovid, Chandidas, and Jibanananda Das at an ancient site on the banks of the Yamuna. Film comes here and experiences the memory of Rudra. Together, these poets talk about 'life', or more. They were arguing about freedom and reality.
