Semi-finalist
Director was born (08.08.1989) and grew up in Belgrade, Serbia where he graduated film from Academy of Arts in 2021 This is his first film after graduation. After graduation, for 4 yrs, he works at numerous different jobs to get him going ( waiter, food deliverer, cashier, car washer in car washing store). He speaks a little French and Spanish. He speaks English fluently. Right now, he is working on a new script to film, and on a documentary. He is half maton runner and running is his passion.
This film is a story born from the collision of pain, friendship and grace. At its heart is a young man—a drug dealer—who finds himself torn between two brutal revelations: the sudden death of his mother and the discovery of the person who betrayed him. These moments of truth could easily become fuel for violence or vengeance. But instead, this story asks a deeper question: What does it mean to forgive when the world gives you every reason not to? I wanted to explore the emotional crossroads where street life meets spiritual struggle. In many ways, this is not just a story about crime or loss—it’s about a soul in turmoil. The character may live on the margins of society, but his journey reflects something universal: the temptation to hold onto hate, and the courage it takes to let it go. Something we all need, especially young people. The idea of forgiveness, especially as taught by God, is not simple or sentimental. It's messy. It’s a choice made not in comfort, but in the wreckage of real hurt. I hope this film challenges the viewer to think about justice and mercy in a new light. Not as abstract ideals, but as feasible experiences. Because in a world so quick to judge, hold grudges, or retaliate, I believe the act of forgiveness is a quiet kind of revolution.
