Director Biography - Olivier Bonenfant

Olivier has been making short films in Montreal from 2004 to 2013 and in Melbourne since 2014. He also has created short films in Madagascar, Sweden, Russia, the USA, Belgium and France. Olivier is a motion graphics artist and director based in Melbourne, enjoying the various film festivals in town and in Australia as well as running Filmonik Melbourne.

Director Statement

I went to a bush camping music festival with a couple of friends and had brought my camera. My daughter gave me such a fun random long sequence of exploration, along with also-random shots around the family camp and family workshop stage that I wrote a script around it and made it a fiction short film. I had the concept in mind ages ago but seeing that it had the potential to come together this time was a surprise.
