Deep Fake

Tono is a high schooler trying to keep up with his friends' lavish lifestyle. But when he asks his mother for more allowance, she refused. Tono, disappointed and persistent, thinks of a scheme to deepfake his mother's face in order to earn some money. His plan works and he successfully manages to use his mother's likeness to gain sympathy and donations from people on the internet. From this, he acquires the money needed to buy the things he has been wanting all this time. But slowly, cracks start to show themselves. And Tono has to confront his actions when his mother eventually finds out what he has been up to.

Director Biography - Deja Attariq

Deja Attariq Sumunar Jati is a student born in Balikpapan who is currently attending SMAN 3 Malang. His interest in the world of IT, particularly in documentation and cinematography, has led him to thrive in an environment actively engaged in these fields. He has taken on various roles during his time in his school’s IT Space, such as director, scriptwriter, camera operator, and has even gone on to be an actor.
