Director Statement

Deceive to Achieve is a personal exploration of imposter syndrome and self-doubt, rooted in my own experiences as a filmmaker navigating both creative challenges and complex relationships. Like John, I’ve known the feeling of questioning my own worth and talent, particularly in an industry that can often feel unrelenting. This film confronts the impact of superficial relationships that challenge our self-perception, especially when it comes from people we believed were friends.
