Death and the Dragon
"Death and the dragon" shows how the mythical Persian story about the dragon (the evil creature who is responsible for drought in Iran throughout history) represents the cultural ideology and archetypes of the Iranian nation regarding the water crisis, the crisis which is still a major problem in the contemporary history of the capital of Iran (Tehran). There are similarities between the mythical dragon story and the history of the water crisis of Tehran: The water was polluted and killing in Tehran till the first decades of the 20th century, then some dams and refineries were built and opened to purify the drinking water, But mismanagement caused new problems. The dragon is returning back.
