Death Star Tech Support

Logline: Just another boring day in the most critical Tech Room in the galaxy.

Synopsis: A comedic Sci Fi web series dedicated to the stalwart …hmm.okay… not "stalwart" exactly. Or at all, really. Let’s face it. The Death Star is THE greatest symbol of the Dark Side the galaxy has ever seen. Like, EVER. The Dark Side is all about power and greed and anger and hate. So, why would anyone expect its rapid response tech team to be any different? DSTS follows the men and women of the tech support team behind-the-scenes. Through both candid moments and private interviews, we get to know the team, their challenges, their inner struggles. It is relatable in that we've all had soul-sucking jobs and have wanted to say and do things either to customers or to coworkers that we know we REALLY shouldn't or that would get us fired outright. Because they work for the side of evil, these characters get away with far more than most.

Like a lot of grunts in large companies, the techs don't see how truly evil the Empire is. Like many in our current culture, they are "not into politics." They take the propaganda they're fed daily on the Holonet at face value, and don't think much of it. But once the Death Star destroys the planet of Alderaan, they are forced to ask themselves much harder questions. How are they, as individuals, contributing to the evil the Empire carries out? Is this the side they want to be on? And what can they do about it?
