Dead Man Walking ( DMW )
A Korean spy becomes the target of the Turkish mafia. However, complicating this situation is the fact that Korean gangsters, working with the Turkish mafia, are also pursuing the spy. Simultaneously, the spy grapples with an internal conflict rooted in his past. The painful history that he cannot forget not only weakens him but also transforms him into a formidable force.
The story goes beyond a mere tale of survival, delving into the main character's confrontation with his dark past. This internal conflict enhances the depth of the narrative, providing an opportunity to explore the emotional and psychological evolution of the main character.

I am Jacob Polat, born on June 1,1999 in Antalya, Turkey. My love for cinema and passion for filmmaking have been guiding forces since my childhood. As my father managed a cinema hall, my interest in cinema grew. Watching films almost every day in the cinema hall marked the beginning of my passion for the cinematic world, leading me to start creating simple videos and uploading them to YouTube.
After graduation high school in 2017 in Sivas, I moved to Seoul, South Korea, for my undergraduate education. I spent about two years learning the Korean language for admission to the university and currently, I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in the Digital Contents department at Kyung Hee University, one of South Korea’s prestigious universities.
In 2023, I made my first work with my graduation project, an action short film titled “DMW.” I aimed to create a more global project by using all the languages I can speak (Turkish, English, Korean) and shot in two different countries. Proving that it’s possible to make an action film on a low budget, I was honored with the project of the year award at the university. During the award ceremony, I delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of focusing on different projects and thinking outside the box to first-year students. This way, my first film became a tangible expression of my passion for filmmaking.
Bringing the excitement and energy found in action films to my own project was crucial for me. I aspire to make a name for myself in the cinema world, particularly in the field of action films. I aim to establish a strong connection with the audience and avoid clichés.
Touching and inspiring at least the audience in my school through my first film became a significant source of motivation for me. I hope to continue making an impact on different audiences with my future projects. Despite my father’s insistence on directing me towards business, I find great joy in directing, shooting, and editing films. I love what I do, and I believe in my success.
