Director Biography - Ellice McCoy

Ellice McCoy started her path at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in California, where she studied to be an actor. She has enjoyed acting in several plays and independent films over the years. More recently, she has pivoted towards producing and film directing while living in Washington, DC. She is best known for her directorial debut film, "Dark Horse", a short film nominated for 13 awards and winner of 6, including Best Film, at the Baltimore 48 Hour Film Project 2024 and winner of Best Cinematography at the Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival 2025. She also directed "Interpret-Her" in Atlanta, GA and produced and directed "Terminal", which was nominated for awards in the Yes We Cannes global film competition.

I make movies because I love the art of storytelling. It is important to me to build a welcoming and fun environment where all have the opportunity to collaborate. It is a wonderful feeling to bring together a group of talented individuals and create something memorable.
