5-time Canadian Screen Award nominee Dani Pagliarello has written, directed, produced, and starred in three comedy series: Food n’ Money, Shitty Roommate and The Drop. She was the showrunner for all of these projects.
The Drop premiered at Hollyshorts (an Oscar qualifying festival), and was the only series to reign from Canada. The series has secured spots in 15 festivals so far. Notably, Dani clinched the 2023 Best Comedy Director accolade at Rio Web Fest and scored victories such as Best Toronto Series at T.O. WebFest. Her prowess also drew multiple nominations for Best Lead Actress in a series.
Since graduating with a BFA from York University’s Acting Conservatory, she has performed in several television series and feature films including The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu), and Luckiest Girl Alive (Netflix).
An alumna of Women in the Directors Chair, Dani’s show-running is reflective of the work she loves to see on screen - women directing high-quality comedy. She lives in Turrono.
