“Why you go in that house, you think I don’t know? It’s a big shame for me!” Azim Mia is always in a bad tamper still knowing that Rabeya still didn’t response which is more humiliating for Azim Mia. In nine years of marriage life almost eight and half year Rabeya goes to Jashim’s house almost everyday. For this Azim Mia often burst out with Rabeya she never response on that. It seems today Azim Mia is more angry than any other time.

Why you are not responding, you think I don’t know anything? The day I catch you that day will be your last day. Today, after a long time, Rabeya replies (as if the monster inside her is awake today, with a sore throat) why today! Scared! Don’t have your own forgiveness. Azim Mia came with full anger and tell what you say you bloody characterless lady? Meanwhile, Rabeya immediately move towards him with sharp rod and replied Do you see this? Don’t doubt your own relationship! No other women will live with you as much as I lived with you, you know why? I have petty on you.
Suddenly one night whole slumbers forced Rabeya to left the slum. Azim Mia’s deceased body lying in front the gate, Rabeya is crying! For whom she is crying! Is it for Azim Mia or Jashim Mia nobody will know ever. Rabeya is telling herself “Ohh! Rabeya!!”

Director Biography - Alam Anwar

Fascination is excessive in various movies in different countries. That’s why I’m merely excessively addicted to film. This is Alam Anwar (Anwar Hossen in NID). Working for many years as an independent filmmaker born of Bangladeshi origin. Regularly making dramas, documentaries, commercials films and various visual content. Journey started began on stage. Involved in stage plays since childhood. Although initially started out acting on stage, gradually developed an interest in other stage work, especially directing. Also an interest in leadership and team management, which led to me establishing the “Victoria College Theatre” while still a college student. Directed numerous stage plays for his own theatre and other theatre groups. Completed graduation and post-graduation from Victoria Government College, Comilla. Enlisted with Bangladesh Betar (Redio) and Television as an actor and presenter. Completed screenwriting and filmmaking courses from the "Bollywood Film Academy in Mumbai" and the "Pathshala South Asian Media Institute" in Bangladesh. Learned the direct making working with National Film Award-winning director Redoan Rony, As an assistant director. Occasionally write scripts for some exceptional stories. Even occasionally produce my own company "Wings Production". Have some various countries working experience includes Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Turkey, South Africa, Botswana and Canada. In addition to filmmaking also trains students of the drama department of various colleges/ universities and Theatre artists of various theatre groups as a theatre teacher. Thank you!

Director Statement

Daho (Inflammation) is a different kind of relationship story. The sexual lack of a married girl, her husband’s suspicions lead to a different side towards the end of the story. I made this short film in a slum in Dhaka city of Bangladesh. Thank You.
