Director Biography - Geovanna Escobar

From filming Barbie dolls growing up, to directing her senior thesis film, Geo has always been passionate about creative expression through filmmaking. Throughout high school, Geo discovered her love for film directing while making short films in a student-led, video production class. Born and raised in Huntington Beach, California, little did she know her dream school was a short drive away. As a filmmaker with a passion for telling underrepresented stories, she hopes Dahlia will resonate with audiences and start conversations.
