Director Biography - A PRAKASH

A PRAKASH – Director/Composer/Producer
I have been in the film and music industry since 2002, working with various performers and exploring diverse genres. In 2022, I founded KSPK PRODUCTIONS to pursue filmmaking, ANIMATE STUDIOS AV to craft video productions and provide BGM and foley, and DARKSTAR MUSIC GROUP to publish my music works.
My directorial journey began in 2023 with Thamizhan, a hip-hop music video. In 2024, I experimented with AI tools for the first time in Intro, sparking a passion for blending technology and creativity. This exploration led to the creation of Mogaasalai (2025), the first Tamil music video entirely generated by AI, where I composed the music and my wife, Kodthay, performed and wrote the lyrics.
Pushing boundaries further, I created En Anbe A.I, the first fully AI-generated Tamil music video, followed by Selamanya A.I, the first in Malay. These milestones gave me the confidence to direct Dreams, my first Tamil AI short film, blending storytelling with cutting-edge AI technology.
For me, AI tools have unlocked a limitless creative playground, allowing me to craft worlds and narratives exactly as I envision them, all while making filmmaking more accessible and cost-effective. My journey is about embracing new technologies to tell unique stories — and I’m just getting started.

Director Statement

Dreams is a heartfelt exploration of a woman’s journey to reclaim her identity and ambitions after marriage. As my first Tamil AI short film, it represents a fusion of tradition and technology melding cultural storytelling with cutting-edge AI tools to bring an emotionally grounded story to life.

The film reflects a truth many women face: the sacrifice of personal dreams under societal pressure. Through the support of a loving husband and in-laws, our protagonist dares to dream again, challenging the notion that marriage must mean the end of aspiration. I wanted this film to be a message of hope to show that love, when rooted in understanding, can be a powerful force for transformation.

With Dreams, I set out to prove that AI is not just a tool for visuals, but a new canvas for emotion and meaning. It’s a tribute to every woman who has ever had to put her dreams on hold, and a reminder that it’s never too late to chase them.
