Experiencing Interruptions?

DI QUA DAL FIUME

Mattia, Samuele and Alyssa, students of ITET “P. Savorgnan di Brazzà ”, must carry out a research commissioned by Professor Scodeller during their Christmas holidays. The boys are given a special character: Ernest Hemingway. At first reluctant to perform the task, the boys then remain fascinated by the writer and his past in Lignano. Their teacher also seems to have a close connection with a mysterious local character, Guido, so much so that she shares a secret with him. During the research the boys will have unusual events, which will lead them to a mysterious place inside the city. In this "treasure hunt" between the labyrinth of the Municipal Archives, where the archivist Simone will give them further clues, the Civic Library and other sites in Lignano, up to the fateful point "where to dig", they will find all the answers they had awaited by those who least imagined they could have.

Director Biography - Piergiorgio Maurizio

Piergiorgio Maurizio, born in Latisana on 2 July 1994, after completing his advanced studies, enroles in the university course of Multimedia Technologies at the DAMS of Gorizia. During the three academic years he approaches the world of cinema at three hundred and sixty degrees, from the history of cinema to photography, the restoration of films and shooting techniques. The university also allows him to carry out a two-month internship between August and October 2018 in Trieste as a sound engineer on the set of the fiction RAI "La Porta Rossa" (directed by Carmine Elia), thanks to which he discovers the professional world of cinema, especially about the role of director.
To take his first steps in the field, with the aim of becoming a director, after completing his three-year studies, he begins to collaborate with a small Friulian production house (Actionstudio Films by Michele Carrara) with which he takes part in the first projects for the realization of short films of different nature, both as a director ("Di qua dal fiume", 2019), and as an assistant in the various departments of photography, sound and scenography. The works in which he takes part are: "Shot" by Riccardo Arpaia (2019, Actionstudio Films) in the role of sound engineer and assistant operator, "Il sopralluogo" by Michele Carrara (2019, Actionstudio Films) in the role of assistant operator. In 2019 he also takes part in the production of a short film in Trieste, in the scenography department, which was made by two of his university classmates ("Maria" Saliva-Vazzoler).
