Experiencing Interruptions?

DINDA

At dusk in the dense jungles of Kalimantan, Indonesia, two young women—Ayu (22) and Dinda (19)—wander along a secluded forest path as the sun dips toward the horizon. A sweeping bird’s-eye view reveals the vast canopy, setting the stage for unease as daylight fades.

The pair stumble upon a massive, pitch-black cave hidden in the heart of the forest. Against Ayu’s growing fear, Dinda is drawn inside by an inexplicable curiosity. When Dinda vanishes into the darkness, Ayu is forced to follow, her flashlight beam slicing through the damp, echoing cavern.

Inside, Ayu searches desperately, her calls swallowed by the cave’s hollow silence—until the light catches Dinda standing motionless in a shadowed corner. Relieved, Ayu approaches, only to realize the figure is no longer her sister-in-spirit but a kuntilanak, the terrifying specter of Indonesian folklore.

In the final chilling moment, from Ayu’s first-person perspective, the transformed Dinda lunges forward and strangles her—before the screen cuts abruptly to black.

A haunting short that compresses escalating dread, cultural myth, and a shocking climax into just two minutes.
