Director Biography - Chloé Beillevaire, Steven Chotard

ℂ𝕙𝕝𝕠𝕖 𝔹𝕖𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕧𝕒𝕚𝕣𝕖 is first and foremost a performer who puts her physicality at the service of emotion. After graduating from the CNSMD in Lyon, she gained a wealth of stage experience in France, notably with Olivier Dubois, then in Belgium with Wim Vandekeybus - Cie Ultima vez, where she developed and honed her own style, a choreographic language tinged with theatricality.
She pursued her career as a performer and continued to explore transdisciplinarity, working with Backsteinhaus Produktion in Germany and with Christophe Rhules and Julien Cassier of the GDRA documentary theatre company.
In 2021, she founded the Cie La Teneur, and today she pursues her own projects at the crossroads of dance, theatre, performance and music with conviction and passion. In 2022, she co-created her first piece, Balec, with Le Garage29. She is currently working with her partner Steven Chotard on the hybrid choreographic duet Schlass and on the children's show Le Miroir aux Alouettes.

𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕟 ℂ𝕙𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕣𝕕 is a dancer and choreographer with an atypical background. He began dancing with acrobatic rock, boogie-woogie, hip-hop and swing and Latin dances. His passion for the poetry of movement and intense physicality led him to the CCN in Nantes, where he worked for seven years alongside Claude Brumachon and Benjamin Lamarche. His role as a dancer then broadened to that of choreographic assistant for the creation of Carmina Burana at the Ballet de Genève, then teacher for the transmission of repertoire at the CNSM in Lyon and in workshops for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities.
When he joined the Backsteinhaus produktion in Stuttgart, he discovered the finesse and richness of dance theatre, and then approached the world of the circus (aerial straps) with Samuel Mathieu's company in Toulouse.
In a desire to break down the barriers between disciplines, he has worked with visual artists, photographers and on site performances, notably alongside Julien Grosvalet of the Cie R14.
He qualified in French sign language in 2020, and uses this mode of social communication to enrich his choreographic material and shake up the dance gesture. This opens up new chapters in a story that is constantly in motion... Un moment parfait, a choreographic and musical trio in collaboration with Alice Tremblay and the Schlass duo with her sidekick Chloé Beillevaire.
