Gloria Castro
Mexican actress, director, and screenwriter, a graduate of CasAzul - Artes Escénicas Argos, with over 10 years of experience in theater, film, and television. She has participated in more than 30 projects (as an actress, director, screenwriter, producer, assistant director, among others), including productions such as "Casa Calabaza" (Winner of the National Prison Theater Award); short films and music videos such as the series "Cómo Arruinarte La Vida" (How to Ruin Your Life) by Daniel, me estás matando; feature films such as "Cometa 1600" (Award-winning at various international festivals); and television series such as "Un Día Para Vivir" and "Butter Man: The Slickest Mexican Thief", among others. She is currently part of the audiovisual production collective Waxinango Films with the production company C.C. Universo.
María José Bolio
María José, a photographer and filmmaker, has a solid background from the Escuela Activa de Fotografía in Mexico and a Bachelor's degree in Film from the SAE Institute and London Middlesex University.
With a career spanning more than 60 independent audiovisual projects, MJ has demonstrated her versatility in Post-Production, Production, and Direction of Photography (DOP). Her editing experience includes key roles as editor and post-producer in the special programming section of Canal Once, Central Once (2015-2017), as well as co-editor and assistant editor on two feature films.
As DOP, she has collaborated on projects such as "Escotomas" (Dir. Andrea Bravo) and "Balam" (Dir. María José Loredo), and her vision extends to still photography, working for brands such as Disney+ and various restaurants.
As a director, she made her directorial debut in 2015 with the short film "Mi Calaverita" and ventured into documentary film with "Alibi." His filmography includes directing "Balam" (2017) and producing "Ubicuo" (Dir. José Luis Balderas) and "Mariposa" (Dir. Magalie de la Torre (winner of the Short and Sweet International Film Festival Hollywood)). His most notable project, "Uroboros" (Dir. María José Bolio Hz), was a finalist at the Oaxaca Film Fest, an official selection at the Macabro International Horror Film Fest, the Alder International Film Fest, and a winner at End of Days.
She currently leads her production company, Hala Ken Producciones, consolidating her commitment to creating high-quality audiovisual content.
