Kirk Howle has been creating independent animation ever since he was a little kid playing on his family's home computer back in the 1980s. Off-kilter humor, exaggerated action, and vibrant color schemes are hallmarks of his work.

Director Statement

To the casual viewer, this short animation is a comedic take on the sci-fi genre. On a deeper level, to me it was a way to confront my love of ridiculous cartoon violence while questioning if such violence is ever necessary. Conflicting personalities "humanize" the alien characters, laying the groundwork for some entertaining conflict. Add in a touch of absurd humor and this short animation should get viewers laughing while also giving their brains something to chew on.
