“Crossing” is a short film based off of the amazing play “Backyard / Desert” by Nancy Irene Kelly — which I am happy to also be producing & directing. This film — and the play — are so beyond important to me, but I feel they are even more important for the world. We hope this story impacts you and begins a conversation. Why do we protect this border so hard? Why do we make it so hard to protect those coming into our country for refuge or for a new start? Why, why, why?
