In a Darkened Room we are introduced to a tiny inhabitant and our protagonist 'Moth-Girl', exploring a cluttered desk looking for parts to add to her body.
As 'Moth-Girl' proceeds in her explorations our main character is unaware however that she has caught the attention of another small inhabitant 'Kevin' who is now stalking her movements, who begins to become more overt in his actions as time progresses.
At one point 'Moth-Girl' is startled by an enormous shadow interrupting the beam of light passing through the partially open door of the room, in a panic she finds herself backed into a corner and grabs a nearby object to defend herself, in a more alert and defensive manner she begins to explore again to confront any other creatures present and draws in on 'Kevin's' position but before the confrontation can occur the door to the room swings open and both characters flee to the nearest hiding place.
While hiding 'Moth-Girl' observes the "Perfect" part and is lured out to retrieve it but is attacked by 'Kevin' she is brutalised by his attacks and he looms over her and begins to pummel her, neither character is aware however that the owner of the room the 'Entomologist' has sneaked into the room and is now slowly looming over them, just as they notice him, the 'Entomologist' grabs them.
'Moth-Girl' awakens to find herself now pinned to a specimen frame hanging on the wall and the camera pans back to reveal many other little inhabitants on the wall who have all been captured as our 'Entomologist' is revealed examining his collection.

Male, Born in 1992, First Time Director, 3D Generalist and Digital Artist.
Education has Graduated with 2 Advanced Diploma's and a Bachelors of Animation, Both a Student of Film and Game in the Digital Arts Industry.
Has been involved mostly in small independent projects such as a Simulator for the Sydney Tramway Museum, the editing and formatting of the Sleeve Art for a Music CD to go to print and graphic design work for freelance individuals.
I directed this film as a part of completing a Bachelors in Animation, and I've learnt a lot in the process especially during today's chaotic times.
Having to work remotely during Covid-19 with a team was a real challenge but I believe all of our team supported each other and got things done to the best each of our abilities and I couldn't be prouder.
I enjoyed working on this project both as the writer and director and the various challenges involved in a short film that not only has no dialogue but also combines two very visually distinct mediums in the use of 2D and 3D to tell the story put a lot of pressure on the team as a whole to make sure things not only worked but also did not look out of place as part of the world we were creating.
