Craft of Five
Five artists in different fields living in Hollywood searching for that "big break" try surviving as roommates without driving each other crazy. A painter, musician, writer, actor, and model from different backgrounds have descended upon Hollywood like locusts to find fame and fortune. Though, unlike locusts, they have yet to leave behind signs that they exist. Each week presents a peculiar situation that culminates into zany solutions, but in the end they find a bond of friendship. The pilot starts with a Survivor-style competition between two leasers, representing two groups, who were given the lease the same day. Due to skyrocketing rents, they have to live together. Only one lease can be valid. The girls try to gain allies and compete in a vote showdown with one winner. However, both girls go through their own epiphany, through help from others, that brings understanding and a truce, for now.
