Cracks between body and light
"Cracks between body and light" is a site-specific videodance piece within the Tepoztlán Exconvent that takes place in the period of isolation caused by the 2020 pandemic.
It is a piece in which the premise was to relate to and explore the subtleties that make up the Exconvent. It was not only a question of inhabiting this space, but also of feeling how it, in turn, inhabited and determined the body, with the intention of being able to show sensitive passages through the relationship between camera, body and space. From experimenting on ways to capture the image of the body in space, different narratives and images were found from oppressive, dizzying, contemplative sensations to images with a certain tone of unreality. It is a piece in which it is vital to point out how movement extends and interrelates between camera, body, light, space and sound.
