Director Biography - Maria Davis

Maria Davis is a multiple award winning film and music producer. As a nearly life long resident of the state of Arizona, Maria finds inspiration within her surroundings for the films she produces, as well as music. She has gained notability as a skilled UAV Drone Pilot, and has developed her unique style of “flying/filming to music”. Maria has been featured across several social media platforms and online shows, including highlights on The Amazing Drone Show, and Airvuz, SineFM, and Outworld Sounds just to name a few.

Director Statement

Cowboy is a short story of love and loss that formed during the creation of the music, which I feel helped bring the music to life even more. The song, "Cowboy" can be found on my 5th album, Wander. After I released the album, I couldn't shake the story I thought of, so I decided to bring it to life. The entire music video was shot with a production budget of only $50, which went to keeping the actors and small crew hydrated and fed. In addition to keeping things low budget, all the filming, directing, editing, and music production was done solely by me. The entire production was filmed over the course of two days with a GoPro Karma Drone, and a GoPro Hero 6 camera (which is the same camera the drone used).
