Director Statement

Cool Like Us explores what it truly means to be “cool” for today’s youth. In a world where success is often admired from a distance, this series brings young audiences closer to the reality behind their idols, the struggle, discipline, and persistence that shape their journeys.

Rather than glorifying fame, Cool Like Us humanizes emerging artists and shows that their paths were built through doubt, failure, and hard choices. My goal is to help young people see that these figures are not untouchable heroes, but individuals who once stood where they stand now.

This series is meant to empower youths to draw inspiration, not imitation, from their idols and to believe that their own voice, story, and ambition are worth pursuing.
