Director Statement

This is partly a tribute to Norman McLaren's film "Pas de Deux" (1967). It's a very loose reference to his black-and-white contour dance. However, Max's spontaneous studio set design and Karina's individuality (a butoh dancer) inspired us to play with gauze, shadows, and contours. And Hava's cinematography allowed me to incorporate the atmosphere of German Expressionist films into the editing. Combined with the sensual music by «Olshansky Fusion Duo”...you can see our film.
