Consequences of Betrayal

Jean R. Michel Galumette was born and raised in Port-au- prince HaitiI. At a very tender age, I was influenced by valuable singer artists such as Ansy Derose, Boulo Valcourt. But it was Bob Victor Lemoine a movie Producer who made the biggest impact in my life. All three of these men are deceased.

I started working out and training in martial arts at a very young age which left me with natural abilities to perform various ways like competition fighting, track running, and performing stunts on cars and motorcycles; in other words I was fearless. In 1986 at age of 22 years old, Bob Lemoine hired me to complete a few motorcycle stunts in a TV series aired on the Haitian TV (TNH) The name of the series was "Mr. Pyram Agent Secret 812". As a young man, growing up in Haiti, filmmaking was always my passion, just as it is today and today. Following the political unrest, I left Haiti In 1991, I immigrated to the United States, To continue a career here in U.S. , I had no other choice, but to do something different to survive; since I sturdied mechanic in Haiti I decided to continue my education here in the U.S. After working for many of dealerships, in 1999 I decided to sturdy Heavy Equipment Mechanics At Miami Lakes Vocational school where I received my diploma and started working for Miami dade County, as a truck and bus technician until now. Since then I devoted my life into Mechanic and filmmaking. Then again, I attended Miami Dade College where I sturdied film and TV production.

In 2005, I opened" Club Des Artists" hoping to create an umbrella for every artist to find a place call home. I trained more than 200 people in the area of cinematography from camera, acting, lighting and editing . In (2005) I released my first feature film. "L'imprevu" (The unexpected). This film put me on the map as a promising movie producer. In 2010 I came up with the comedy named "Grann-mia" which had no great success. In 2009 in light of the alarming high increase in H.I.V cases in South Florida, I wrote the script for THE GUILT. One of my great success. After showing the movie in North Miami Beach (NMB) performing Arts Theater, Little Haiti cultural Center and Miramar, thousand of people enjoyed so much so they requested more of my work. In September of 2010, The City of NMB Mayor Myron Rosner, Councilman Philippe Derose, Councilwoman Beth Spiegel presented me with a certificate of appreciation "in recognition for outstanding service and contribution to the Haitian community".

In conclusion I wrote 10 movie scripts, Directed and produced only 8 of them. I enjoy precious time among producers directors, artists in the process of be coming.

My goal is to continue to showcase my culture through the film industry. I strongly believe the seventh Art can serve as a catalyst not for entertainment but educational purposes as well. where families can enjoy and celebrate their cultural heritage.
