Confession
They say every great love song has a moment of reckoning. Confession was written on a hazy summer evening, inspired by a whispered truth in the backseat of a Cadillac. A woman, torn between the life she built and the love she never saw coming, finally speaks the words she’s been holding back. Maybe it’s too late. Maybe it’s just the beginning. Either way, once the truth is out, there’s no going back.

While my primary background is in acting and music, I’ve increasingly stepped into the world of directing—initially out of necessity, but quickly out of love for the craft. I began by producing and directing my own music videos, driven more by creative urgency than formal training, and fueled by a deep desire to bring stories and visuals to life on my own terms.
My most ambitious directorial experience to date has been working on Nowhere Close, a television comedy pilot I co-created and directed. The project allowed me to collaborate with industry veterans including Kelly Hollis (Shameless) and Mickey Jones, known for his work on Coronation Street, EastEnders, and Hollyoaks. This experience offered a unique opportunity to both lead and learn, blending professional insight with my instinctive creative approach. Nowhere Close is currently in post-production.
Directing, for me, is a natural extension of storytelling—whether through music, performance, or lens—and I look forward to continuing to explore and grow in this space.
Confession was born out of emotional truth and creative necessity. The song explores the raw, conflicting experience of loving two people at once—messy, tender, and a little bit wicked. While the music video leans into humour and tongue-in-cheek storytelling—with flirty texts, awkward phone calls, and a cheeky wink to the audience—it’s grounded in something real: vulnerability, longing, and the painful honesty that comes with emotional transparency.
I directed, produced, styled, and performed the entire piece with no budget (a grand total of £35, if we’re counting), no crew, and no formal experience—just a high sleeper bed, a roll of silver foil, and a relentless urge to make something happen. I filmed it in my bedroom after waiting over a year for the “perfect” circumstances… which, spoiler alert, never came. So I stopped waiting, and did it myself.
The result is raw, imperfect, and unapologetically DIY—but that’s exactly the point. Confession is about saying the hard things out loud, making art with what you’ve got, and trusting that sometimes, the truth is more cinematic than any polished production.
