Community College - Miranda Fling

Working with this crew was a really special experience. This music video was shot during a 53 hours music video contest which is where we first met our artist Miranda Fling. We knew from the first 10 mins that this was going to be a wonderful project as she explained to us the inspiration for this song. We chose to shoot the entire film in Greeley Colorado on a combination of a 4 and 6k Black Magic Pocket Cinema because Greeley had the small town feel we were looking for and we wanted a quality setup that we could be mobile with while still getting quality footage. In addition to this, we were able to shoot this with a skeleton crew of roughly 7 people. Miranda was one of those rare talents who is able to communicate so much with her expressions and eyes, creating such a natural emotive look on camera. This coupled with her gorgeous voice and classic John Hughes-esque shots combine to create a story about a young girl who loses herself to her relationship and must make a tough choice to leave or stay on her current path. I’m so happy with how this turned out, and can’t wait to work with this crew again for her next video!
