Coffin Room

"Coffin Room" is an 360-degree animation that explores the cramped living conditions in Hong Kong, focusing on an elderly couple's daily struggles. The story is narrated from the husband's perspective, immersing the audience in the couple's challenging life. This passive, immersive experience is designed to be viewed through VR goggles or on YouTube, allowing the audience to navigate the virtual space and witness the couple's obstacles firsthand.

The film aims to highlight the severe housing crisis in Hong Kong, a city notorious for its unaffordable housing. By utilizing 360-degree animation, "Coffin Room" not only sheds light on this critical social issue but also explores the medium's potential to foster empathy and understanding through immersive storytelling. The project distinguishes itself by employing narrative 3D animation rather than live-action footage, enhancing the emotional impact through visual design and audio elements. Ultimately, "Coffin Room" aspires to spark discussions about Hong Kong's living conditions and demonstrate the power of 360-degree animation in addressing social issues.
