Clownery
A young woman is living for years with a terrible trauma that
happened during her birthday party when she was a little girl.
From that day on, she decided never to celebrate it again.
But when she turns twenty-one, her best friend breaks the ritual
organizing a surprise party, unaware of awakening horrors, which

Eros D’Antona was born on July 20, 1985, in Taranto, Italy. He is a director, writer, editor, and producer.
His passion for watching movies starts he was a child and then has become his real professional interest. Eros’ career started as assistant director and editor in 2008. His first experiences behind the camera were on the musical field working for domestic and international artists in the company Calibro 9.
Between 2008 and 2011 Eros shot several music videos.
In 2011 he worked on many docufilms, reportage, and commercial productions. He was the director of photography and the editor in the documentary L'Ambiente audio/cinetico di Antonio De Franchis presented on October 2011 at the Biennale di Venezia. The movie is now in the Museum of Contemporary Italian Art in Exile.
In 2012 he shot his first real short film: Mind Trip. It allowed Eros D'Antona to be known in Milan by a producer in the field of television advertising: Renzo Barzizza, son of the orchestra conductor Pippo Barzizza and brother of the famous Italian actress Isa Barzizza. Eros worked on the development of various projects with major Italian television advertising companies, among these Effetti Digitali Italiani (EDI).
Eros also managed the audio/video archive of the Barzizzas. Whole 9,5mm, 8mm, and 16mm from 1929 to the '80s, and he has co-operated to the development of Pippo Barzizza's YouTube channel.
In the same year, Eros shot an experimental short video with a 360 degrees time freeze, and he published a successful piece about making and producing that effect with no budget on the VFX Wizard portal, one of the most important platforms for studying visual effects. They have released more than 400.000 lectures.
The following year (2013) Eros was the screenwriter and co-executive producer of Johnny, one of the most awarded Italian web series worldwide in 2014.
In December 2013, Mind Trip and Johnny won as GRAND WINNERS Best Dramatic Film and Best Television Pilot, respectively, at California Film Awards.
And that was the first time in CFA's history that Italians won as Grand Winners.
In March 2014, Eros gave a Q&A at the LA WebFest in Los Angeles: "how to produce low budget web-series" panel. In the same year, Eros established his production and post-production company Funny Dreamers, and then he wrote, produced and directed the award-winning feature film Insane, his first one, distributed in North America by BrinkVision in February 2016.
In 2015 Eros produced and directed his first feature film spoken in English Haunted acquired by ITN Distribution for worldwide distribution. The movie has been released in more than ten countries.
In 2017 Eros with its production company Funny Dreamers has been awarded funding by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers "Department of Equal Opportunities" (Italy), winning a contribution sponsored by UNAR for the development of Holm Alhijra a project against racial discrimination.
In 2017 Eros produced and directed Die in One Day acquired by ITN Distribution for worldwide distribution.
Thanks to Movie Planet Group, Die in One Day allows the director to debut on the big screen even in his own country. For Home Video and VOD distribution, the film has been acquired by CG Entertainment.
In November 2017, he collaborated with his brother Roberto (L/D Production Company) to direct the one-shot opening credits sequence of the action film Road to Hell.
In 2018 Eros was also the President of the Jury at the Caorle Film Festival, a successful international event that gathered filmmakers from all over the world and was proposed by the Veneto region during the 74th edition of the Venice Film Festival.
In October of the same year, Eros with the film critic Claudio Bartolini and the director Sergio Martino, were the special guests on the "Speciale Giallo all'Italiana" in Gaeta, at Visioni Corte 2018 International Short Film Festival, chosen by Mibact between the events to represent Italy in the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. The project enjoys the High Patronage of the European Parliament, the patronage of ENIT, and has been included in the catalog of "Good Practices in the cultural sphere" of the Lazio Region and awarded the Medal of the President of the Republic.
2018 closes filming Clownery, the first film directed by Eros D’Antona with an American production company behind it.
