LAURA ALICE is a multi award-winning Geelong-based Artist and Creative Director who specialises in cutting-edge projects that are empowering and collaborative.
With over 10 years experience in creating complex artistic projects spanning film, immersive installation, animation, street art and augmented reality; Laura is on the forefront of both ethics and innovation in her field.
Laura possesses a deep-seated curiosity that drives her practice.
Through her work, she fosters meaningful connections with audiences, blurring the lines between artist and observer, and the seen and unseen.
Laura's partnership with the community has resulted in countless arts projects that bring joy, inclusion and integrity to disadvantaged groups of Geelong's youth.
These high-quality collaborative projects have received both local and international regard.
Co-creating this collaborative film has been a joy. Over months or even years of weekly meetings, this incredible group of young creatives formed deep connections while honing key skills in animation, filmmaking, scriptwriting, drawing, painting, and editing through lessons and mentorship.
However, the true magic happened when the group embraced deep listening—allowing their shared narratives to gently unfold. Together, we sat with the pain of feeling isolated or different—the challenges of being queer and neurodivergent in a world not built for us.
Through Clover’s story, the group explored pathways to connection that resonated with their own journeys. Clover’s narrative became a therapeutic tool for expression, but more importantly, it allowed the group to co-dream of ways out of the darkness—and how to seek them.
