Director Statement

"La Idea" is my first short film and also my first documentary. This short film represents my initial exploration of the genre and, at the same time, a reflection on its own limits. From the beginning, I wanted the aesthetics, cinematography, and even the script structure to be part of an exploration of what defines art, cinema, or this documentary short.

In this process, symbolic elements and fictional resources coexist with the central objective of presenting reality in the most honest way possible. The film not only observes its characters but also becomes a study of the psychology and thoughts of the creator.

Rather than providing answers, this work seeks to open a space for dialogue between subjectivity and objectivity, between truth and interpretation.
