Sophie Aguila is a Los Angeles-based director, specializing in film production. She uses storytelling to create multi-dimensional queer characters, and to discuss universal stories of art and humanity. Sophie graduated in Spring 2024 with a Film and Media Arts BFA in Narrative Directing from Temple University. She was also active in the school's television community as the live studio director of TUTV's sketch comedy program TEMPLE SMASH. Sophie is currently in the festival run for her senior thesis film MEET ME UNDER THE BLEACHERS. She is also currently working with screenwriter Anna Polacek to produce spec scenes set in the world of Anna’s pilot script, starting with the stand-alone short film CLADDAGH.
