City of Pearls

Dubai is a city once built on pearls, but today its pearls look very different. This short documentary follows four “invisible” workers who guard gates, clean halls and cook meals, living far from their families to keep other people’s dreams alive while quietly pursuing their own in the land of opportunity. It reveals how rarely these modern pearls are recognised for their efforts. In an attempt to change this, it shows how we took initiative and began a ritual of showing gratitude to the people who truly keep Dubai shining.
