City Moves

‘City Moves’ is a film that looks at air pollution through the lens of mobility justice. It explores NMT (Non-Motorised Transport) as the sustainable solution for tackling air pollution in Delhi, a major cause of which is the transport sector. Perceiving this environmental crisis as a case of environmental injustice and hence a rights issue, the film follows two stories depicting how socio-economic inequalities create ‘uneven mobilities’ within the urban space.

With these stories of cycling and walking within the city, the film documents how access to the city is embedded in the segregated spatial reality of Delhi. Thus it offers a critique of the current trend of infrastructural development in the mega city.
