Director Statement

Citizen Vader is intended as an affectionate homage to two of my biggest filmmaking influences; Orson Welles' Citizen Kane and George Lucas' Star Wars saga. The story was inspired by Lucas' consideration of Welles to provide the voice of Darth Vader in the original movie. I'm quite happy to consider it my "four-and-a-half-th" short film, and hope it's as enjoyable to watch as it was to make. May The Force Be With Us All.
