Short experimental film, made for Cinemasports / Azerbaijan. Ingredient : Joseph Brodsky's poem : «Точка всегда обозримей в конце прямой...». The film was made during 48 hours. In the film Brodsky's own voice, who reads the poem.

Точка всегда обозримей в конце прямой.
Веко хватает пространство, как воздух -- жабра.
Изо рта, сказавшего все, кроме "Боже мой",
вырывается с шумом абракадабра.
Вычитанье, начавшееся с юлы
и т. п., подбирается к внешним данным;
паутиной окованные углы придают сходство комнате с чемоданом.
Дальше ехать некуда. Дальше не отличить златоуста от златоротца.
И будильник так тикает в тишине, точно дом через десять минут взорвется.

The point is always more visible at the end of a straight line.
The eyelid gulps space, as the gill does with air
From the mouth, that uttered all except for “Oh My God!”.
Noisy gibberish bursts out
Subtraction, which began with a spinning buzz
and so on, is selected for external data;
Cobwebbed corners
Give the room an air of a suitcase.
There is nowhere to go. There is no way
To tell the golden-mouthed from the foul-mouthed.
And the alarm clock ticks in silence,
Ss if the house were to explode in ten minutes.
