Jordan Imiola is a comedy writer and producer from Buffalo, NY. He is the creator and showrunner of "Romantically Hopeless," "Monster Therapy," "Sports TV," and "The Deadline Junkies Podcast." Jordan has written sketches and performed improv at Second City and was part of the Buffalo improv troupe, FNL. He's also sold, optioned, and ghostwritten several screenplays. Christmas Staycation is his first produced feature film and directorial film debut. Every week, Jordan runs the Wednesday division of Deadline Junkies, a community of comedy writers and actors. Many of them are in Christmas Staycation.
Producing Christmas Staycation is my favorite memory of 2020. When I thought about how millions of people couldn't be home for the holidays in 2020, I decided to write a comedy about it. I quickly gathered my talented actor friends and wrote a screenplay to spin the pandemic holiday into a comedic direction. I'm incredibly grateful for the cast and crew who made everything happen so quickly. We filmed the entire movie on Zoom in different cities from October - December 2020, and this became my first produced feature film.
