ChingonX
ChingonX is a movement in favor of decentralization created by me, paisano DAO and his community of Latin American crypto artists. I consider it an important event to be communicated through NFT performance.
This series of pieces are derivatives of cloneX #13727 from the NFT collection by RTFKT, a company recently associated with the NIKE brand in the blockchain ecosystem. These works derived from "chingona" represent an activism against the uninformative and non-transparent practices that this type of brand might have when entering the web3 ecosystem.
I create the character from somatic explorations, body painting and experimentation with the media, the camera, the space and the concept of the project. Post-production plays a very important role in the piece, as this is where the counter-narrative of the piece becomes visible. I could call this a non-fashion performance.
