Director Statement

Director and co-founder of Chichester Filmmakers C.I.C, Jonathan Brooker said, “Seeing phenomenal local talent come together in front of and behind the camera, after four months of development and pre-production, has exceeded our expectations. It’s been a hugely rewarding experience, particularly hearing the positive feedback from the community, film industry, agents and the press following The Barn's Premiere in August.”

Please take a look at the stills photos, which are all from the production of The Barn, and include a photo of the cast with Kate Winslet (multi award winning actress) during our script table read in March 2024, at Weald & Downland Museum (where most of the film shoot took place).
We owe the success of The Barn to the local community, the support of film industry professionals and donors, and the many charities and film festivals that have taken a keen interest in our mission to help local talent and creatives to develop film skills and progress their careers within the industry.
Thank you!!
