Director Biography - Charles Taylor Goubeaud

Charles Taylor grew up in Houston, TX where a hand-me-down camcorder sealed his fate: a lifetime of filming his friends doing stupid sh**. And so he began. By the time high school arrived, "stupid sh**" became "the morning announcements" where Charles utilized the school's CCTV as a testing ground for sketches, shorts, and really bad green-screen effects. Without this happenstance, he and his cohorts would've never been able to start a production company in college where they created music videos for artists such as Of Montreal, Lil Jon, and Janelle Monae.

After moving the operation to New York City and immersing himself in the stand-up comedy scene, Charles became an integral player in content creation from conception through production. He cut his teeth overseeing development at various production companies as he discovered rising talent, designed new formats, and created a variety of content in the comedy, music and culture space. Charles (and his friends!!) developed and produced series for studios such as ABC, MTV, Kevin Hart's Laugh Out Loud, Quibi and YouTube Originals.

Most recently, Charles worked in Los Angeles as MTV & VH1's Senior Director of Alternative Programming and now Supervises Creative Production for both linear & non-linear broadcasters. Current series include Quibi's LET'S ROLL WITH TONY GREENHAND and Kevin Hart's CELEBRITY GAME FACE on E!.
